ABOUT US
Hi! I’m Plucky Cat, an electrologist in Fort Collins, CO. I became passionate about electrology the same way most do; experiencing the magic of never again having to shave, pluck, wax, depilate, burn, or otherwise beat back those damn hairs! I know personally how life-changing it can be to never have to worry about stubble or stray hairs again, an experience shared by many with PCOS, hirsutism, or other conditions that cause excessive hair growth. I’m also, as a trans woman, intimately familiar with the uniquely grueling process of gender-affirming surgery preparation. In addition to my 400 hours of training at the California Electrology Academy, I have a background working as a registered nurse. You can feel safe knowing that my understanding of infection control, anatomy and physiology, and wound care goes above and beyond what is typically required of electrologists. Accessibility is important to me and I want to do my best to be accommodating for all. There is a ground-level entrance to my office and my table is ADA-compliant. Silent appointments and similar accommodations are available on request, and I encourage you to bring anything you need to make the session more comfortable for you. I’m always striving to do better in this area, so suggestions are more than welcome! A consultation is required before our first session. This is to ensure that there are no medical reasons electrolysis would be dangerous for you, to discuss the process and set expectations, and finally to make sure that you know how to prepare for your first session. Most importantly, DO NOT wax, sugar, pluck, on the area you’d like treated, starting NOW. The longer it has been since waxing or plucking, the better for electrolysis. Shaving/trimming is the ONLY method of hair removal you should be using between appointments, and you should stop shaving 4-7 days before an appointment. Please reach out if you have any questions. I look forward toworking with you!
